As a special education teacher for the past nine years, I have trained in behavioral and developmental approaches to best support children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. My work is based on three pillars: careful observation of the child’s functioning, the implementation of concrete daily strategies, and support for parents so they become active participants in the educational process. I primarily work in homes and schools, in close collaboration with existing professionals (speech therapists, psychomotor therapists, teachers). What motivates me is seeing a child succeed at something they couldn’t do yesterday, even if it’s something small.
